Music and Time Annotation << Back On the Interpretation of the Genre of the Sonata on the Example of the Sonata for Violin and Piano by Jeyhun Allahverdiev S.R. Yolchueva The presented study is devoted to the problem of interpretation of the sonata genre on the example of Jeyhun Allahverdiev's sonata for violin and piano. As a result of the study, we were able to come to the conclusion that in his work the composer proceeds from the classical interpretation of this genre The sonata has a three-movement structure, with the traditional choice of tempo, form, and figurative content for each movement. The first movement is written in sonata form. Its features are the use of the principles of developmental transformation already in the exposition, when each batch is transformed into an independent large section, which leads to the expansion of the scale of the form; the dominance of the principle of change of ongoing development; the modest scale of the reprise in comparison with the exposition and development; not only tonal, but also fi gurative-thematic transformation of the side part in the reprise, bringing it closer to the main part. Lyrical in content, laconic The second part is written at a slow pace. The structure of two sections with a small fi nal episode, which has the functions of a recapitulation, creates analogies with the first part in terms of the relationship between the parts of the form. The finale was written at a fast pace, in the form of a rondo sonata, and has a folk-genre character. In addition to certain changes in the structure of classical forms, one of the main features of the sonata is the composer's interpretation of the chamber duet from the position of the whole orchestra. This brings to life a very complex multi-layered texture, covering a huge range with the simultaneous inclusion of different registers in the sound.
