O.A. Krishtalyuk, V.A. Krasnova
The article is devoted to the investigation of the peculiarities of formation in the music of Georg Friedrich Haas, Austrian composer of the second half of the 20th century, (born 1953), on the example of his First and Second String Quartets. On the basis of the comprehensive analysis the features of the composer’s individual composition thinking and style together with the properties of spectral technique are revealed. The scientific novelty of the work consists in the fact that for the first time the works of G.F. Haas which are yet unknown in Russia are analyzed, the peculiarities of the format formation and the musical language of the composer are examined. As a result, on the basis of previously unexamined works and pre-existing concepts, the authors conclude about the unique synthesis of tonal, spectral and microtonal compositional techniques in Haas’ String Quartets No 1,2 as well as about the specific dramaturgical logic and their special semantics in the composer's works.
Keywords: spectral music, shaping, H.F. Haas, J. Grise, micropolyphony, postavant-garde, string quartets.
