The article is devoted to the iconography of art Nouveau, which is considered as a method of cognition, allowing to find a meaningful and stylistic community, analogy, to identify common artistic processes between different artists, sometimes not very similar to each other and their creations. Understood as a kind of meaningful, semantic layer of a particular art direction or style, including themes, plots, motives of works, iconography of musical art Nouveau, as well as aesthetics and typology is based on the postulates of visual art Nouveau. The reason for the transfer of specific modern features of architecture and painting in other arts (music, theater and literature), is rooted in the actual idea of the turn of the XIX–XX centuries – the synthesis of arts. It is in the spirit of time different mixing and "transition" of borders between adjacent art areas. One like the art takes over and tries on different stylistic features of the other: poetry is music, music is painting, painting is music etc. the art of Music embraced and absorbed the many characteristic iconographic themes of the art Nouveau. Among them are: the explanation of waves, spirals, Islands, spring, ideas, growth, motion-impulse-development, dancing, Orgy, erotic motifs, magical motifs, motifs of mythological birds, various flowers etc., Their detailed consideration, reflection of the musical material is the content of this article.
