Music and Time Annotation << Back Ethnic Components in the Context of the Traditional Adyghe and Karachay-Balkarian Musical and Dancing Culture (on Material of the Epos «Narts») A.V. Gucheva, F.H. Gulieva (Zanukoeva) The source study base of research of tools, tool and vocal and also dancing traditions gradually started collecting with emergence of idea of special research of traditional culture of the people of the North Caucasus. At the beginning collecting ethnographic materials, oral information on this problem had the general character, i.e. gathered in passing with works of oral poetic creativity, data on traditional clothes, jewelry, history of villages, etc. Now more and more relevance is got by a problem of development of traditional culture of the people of the North Caucasus, and traditional musical instruments as «monuments of material musical culture», a bright ethnic marker with the difficult structured sign system or the language of culture having close connection with the most ancient mythological, cosmological, religious and magic ideas and the related household traditions represent an integral part of this culture. In article the narts epos is considered as a historical, ethnographic and folklore monument. The Narts epos is one of the most ancient sources of unwritten tradition of the people of the Caucasus in which the manufacturing techniques of the first musical instruments of adyghe – kamyl’, bzhamij, phacich, phapshina and etc., also karachay-balkarian – sybyzgy, kobuz and kyl kobuz, which didn’t go out of use so far, and also their constructive organologies features. In the context of our research we will also consider also the most archaic layers of dancing culture of adyghe and karachaybalkarian.
