Music and Time Annotation << Back The Mozart’s Concerto Arias for Aloisia Lange: about the Phenomenon of the Genre Nagina D.A. The paper describes the concerto aria – the music genre of the classical epoch that is not enough studied. The author tries to find out the destination and the functions of the genre by example the Mozart’s concerto arias, which were composed for the singer Aloisia Lange. The analysis of the music of the arias and the Mozart’s letters detects the main and the specific feature of this genre – the orientation to the professional level and the skill of the singer. This feature makes it possible to reconstruct the characteristics of the voice of the performer, his technical abilities and besides to specify the position and the importance of the concerto aria in the musical practice of the XVIII century.
