Music and Time Annotation << Back Historical Instrumentology and Perspectives of its Development Svobodov V.A. This article is dedicated to the investigation of the evolution process of European string instruments basing on the interrelation of the interval structures (IS) of chordophone pitches. The author realizes the perspectives of science development in studying the nature of instrumental pitches and the regularity presented is adopted for the investigation of the instrumental cultures of different regions of the world.
