Music and Time Annotation << Back Pitch Organization of the Sections of the Maqom Cycle “Dugoh” in the Context of the Tanbur Pitch Scale A.A. Abdurashidov The study examines the structural features of octave modal pitch systems (scales) in the maqom “Dugoh” and their interpretation in relation to the characteristics of the scale, namely the non-tempered pitch system of the Bukharan tanbur. The aim of the research is to analyze the octave pitch structure of the doirai Buzurg, determine its influence on the formation of modal pitch systems within the maqom, reveal their structural characteristics and their interrelation with pitch and modal parameters, as well as to identify the functional role of the tanbur as an instrument that determines pitch organization. The scientific novelty of the study lies in its integrated approach to the analysis of octave scales in the maqom “Dugoh,” the identification of their internal logic, the determination of their functional significance, and the development of a comprehensive model of interaction between pitch, modal, and instrumental levels. This approach deepens the understanding of pitch structure organization in the maqom cycle and the principles underlying the construction of its canonical sections.
