Efendiyeva The article is devoted to the scholarly and pedagogical work of musicologist Aytan Oktay gizi Bakhshiyeva – a talented researcher of Azerbaijani musical culture. The focus is on her studies dedicated to the works of such composers as Arif Malikov, Uzeyir Hajibeyli, Gara Garayev, Akshin Alizadeh, and other prominent figures of the national school of composition. A special place in her academic activity is given to the analysis of chamber and symphonic works by Arif Malikov, where Bakhshiyeva explores the characteristics of national modal intonation, the role of mugham, intonational development, and structural dramaturgy. The article emphasizes the researcher's deep emotional involvement, her fidelity to tradition, and dedication to scientific inquiry. In addition to her scholarly work, Aytan Bakhshiyeva has also distinguished herself as a composer and educator, making a significant contribution to the development of modern Azerbaijani musicology and education.
