Music and Time Annotation << Back Actor's Authenticity in the Conventional Space of Opera E.V. Babicheva The article examines the objective reasons for updating scenic techniques in opera performances, which is a prerequisite for the authenticity of acting. Set design helps to reveal the deeper meanings of the musical score, creates additional conditions for the synthesis of dramatic and musical art in opera, destroying the conventions of this genre. The true existence of an artist-singer in the opera is one of the achievements of the modern theater school. The author comes to the conclusion that the synthesis of traditions and innovations occupies a signifi cant place in the training of future opera artists. The search for a justifi ed psychophysical existence in musical sketches is the most important principle of achieving acting authenticity in the implementation of stage and vocal tasks.
