Music and Time Annotation << Back Preservation of the Classical Heritage as the Main Objective of the Modern Ballet Theater K.S. Kopunova The article is devoted to the preservation of the classical heritage in the ballet theater. The relevance of this study is confi rmed by the fact that in modern scientifi c literature, thoughts are increasingly expressed in support of the preservation of the classical heritage in various fi elds of art. As for the art of ballet, it is not easy to keep the choreographic text in its original form. The technique of classical dance has stepped forward, the functionality of theaters is being improved, which leads to entertainment for the sake of time. Today, choreographers in their work are abandoning classical productions in favor of modern ones, or they are signifi cantly modernizing them. Today, there is a growing debate about the extent to which reconstructions, revisions and adaptations of classical productions are necessary. The autor refl ects on whether such interventions are benefi cial, or, on the contrary, have a destructive effect on classical art?
