Music and Time Annotation << Back Formation and Development of String Performance in Azerbaijan in the 60-s of the 20th Century N.K. Gulamova The presented article examines the history of the origin and development of string performing art in Azerbaijan. It is noted that every era gives birth to people with such extraordinary creative abilities, who are heroes of their time, who have achieved serious and important artistic achievements. One of such important Personalities in the history of musical art of Azerbaijan is the founder of Azerbaijani professional music Uzeyir Hajibeyli. He did not perceive the development of new Azerbaijani music without a close connection between composer and performer, without which musical cooperation would be simply unthinkable. The creation of the Azerbaijan State Conservatory and fi ve departments here was an important result of the educational system laid down by Uzeyir Bey. Each department was the executor of educational and methodological work carried out at the conservatory, and was directly involved in the training of young musicians. Today we can talk about different areas of Azerbaijani performing arts, and naturally, each performing school has its own history. In the development of Azerbaijani musical art in the 60s of the 20th century, a number of remarkable memorable events attract attention, among which we can note the opening in 1964 of the Azerbaijan State Chamber Orchestra, now the State Chamber Orchestra named after Gara Garayev. Famous musician Nazim Rzayev was appointed artistic director and conductor of the orchestra. The creation of the Azerbaijan Chamber Orchestra and its achievement of great success and recognition in a short time can be designated as a new stage in the performing arts of Azerbaijan.
