Music and Time Annotation << Back Genre Differentiation of Nanai Personal Songs T.D. Bulgakova Article discusses various methods of differentiation of Nanai traditional song creativity that have been undertaken up to now and based on the models generally accepted in folklore studies. On the one hand, this is the idea of the Nanai songs dzarin as a single integral genre that does not require the identifi cation of its constituent parts and is correlated only with other genres outside of song lyrics. On the other hand, this is a fractional ranking within the sphere of dzarin songs, carried out on the basis of an analysis of their poetic texts without taking into account their personal nature. Finally, it is the consideration of Nanai songs as personal ones and the awareness of the need to search for a special approach in understanding the subsystems forming the system of Nanai musical folklore. The article states that Nanai singing is mainly focused not on the reproduction of ready-made texts of various contents, but on the process of singing, the nature of which is determined by popular common themes and their corresponding cliches. The presence of common themes that apply to all performers, regardless of their personal or generic identity, allows us to confi rm the significance for genre poetic typology. But since each concrete realization of any general theme turns out to be individual, Nanai songs should be simultaneously determined personal songs. Coordination of various methods of typologization of the song folklore of the Nanai people is carried out in the article on the basis of the emic approach and authentic terminology corresponding to it.
