Music and Time Annotation << Back Historical Prerequisites for the Formation of Domestic Regional Piano Schools E.V. Zelenkova This article discusses the origins of the formation of domestic piano pedagogy. The historical prerequisites that determined the development of the traditions of clavier and then piano art, which served as the basis for the formation of academic musical education, are analyzed. The genetic roots of the formation and development of piano schools in various regions of Russia are revealed on the example of the Saratov and Kazan piano schools, since it was in these cities of the Volga region that the first conservatories in the Russian province were opened. The deep interrelation of the development of regional piano schools with the traditions laid down by the founders of the St. Petersburg and Moscow piano schools is revealed. The contribution of outstanding musicians – pianists and teachers to the creation of unique piano schools, representing various branches of the development of pianism, is emphasized. The problem of defi ning and understanding the specifics of the Russian piano school is analyzed, various approaches to studying the complex process of formation and development of pianistic art and piano pedagogy are considered.
