Guluzade The article analyzes the influence of the Russian performing school on the development of the Azerbaijani piano art. The main purpose of the article is to study the influence and principles of work of the Russian performing school and its performers-teachers on the development of piano art in Azerbaijan. The article highlights the invaluable work done by prominent representatives of the Russian executive school G.G. Sharoev, M.R. Brenner in the development of the Azerbaijani piano school. In particular, the role of was emphasized. A.B. Goldenweisser in the development of Azerbaijani pianists.Therefore, the history of the development of the Azerbaijani piano school was considered and the activities of performers-teachers, which are important in teaching piano performance, were studied. The repertoire of these teachers was considered, pedagogical relations, concert activity, pedagogical potential, performance achievements, their role in the training of highly qualifi ed specialists were noted. The features of the piano art in Azerbaijan, its connection with the Russian piano art and the continuation of its traditions, the richness of the repertoire, the trend towards modernization within the framework of traditions were emphasized. The article reveals and identifies artistic tasks, repertoire selection of pedagogical performers who are distinguished by an original manner of performance.
