Music and Time Annotation << Back About the Influence of Azerbaijani Mugham on Local Choral Musical Creativity L.R. Muradzadeh The topic of the presented article is relevant to the birth and development of the choral genre in Azerbaijan, including its establishment on a national scale. It is known that we owe our professional music, created on the basis of Azerbaijani mugham, to the genius composer, music director, teacher, publicist and musical and public fi gure Uzeir Hajibeyli. The great composer was the founder of a new historical stage in the development of the national music of Azerbaijan and made exceptional contributions to the establishment of choral music in our republic. The great artist, with his foresight and valuable creative efforts, managed to create performing staff and teams, which gave a great impetus to the creation of the choral culture of Azerbaijan as a whole and to the prospects of further development. In this article, information is also given about the work carried out regarding the organization of the choir, about the results noted by the composer in his requests, and publicist activities, and about some historical moments. Indeed, since the 20th century, the Azerbaijani choral culture has been enriched with world choral traditions and has begun to go beyond its national boundaries. This genre begins its development with the production of "Leili and Medzhnun", the first opera in the Middle and Middle East, written by the brilliant Uzeir Hajibeyli in 1908. Having organically combined two traditions in this opera - Eastern monody and European polyphony, the composer created a solid foundation for the future achievements of the professional choral art of Azerbaijan.
