Music and Time Annotation << Back Some Structural Features of «Music for String Orchestra» by Vasif Allahverdiev Sh.V. Mammadova This article presents an analysis of the structural features of the composition for string orchestra of Vasif Allahverdiyev, a talented representative of the Azerbaijani composer school, the National Artist of Azerbaijan. In this work, the composer combines the characteristic of stylistic features inherented in both national and European trends. Despite the fact that the work was written for a string orchestra, the composer, using the variety of timbre possibilities of string instruments, achieved a rich, multicolored sound. In the process of research, the fact is repeatedly recorded that the analyzed work is perceived rather as a “chamber symphony”, taking into account features of its dramatic development.
