Music and Time Annotation << Back The Refraction of Cinematic Features in the Opera Work of S.S. Prokofiev O.I. Kuskashev Тhe 30s of the twentieth century is a series of films with the participation of S.S. Prokofiev, where the composer transfers film receptions to opera, ballet and even when writing music for a physical culture parade on Red Square. The innovative talent of the composer permeated the films of those years "Lieutenant Kizhe" (1934), "The Queen of Spades" (1936), "Alexander Nevsky" (1938). The music for the latter eventually began to be performed independently at the world’s leading concert venues. More recently, the Moscow House of Music triumphantly hosted another performance of this cantata, while the action was given a special flavor by shots from the movie "Alexander Nevsky" on two large screens, the powerful sound of the orchestra and choir.
