Music and Time Annotation << Back About Musical Education in the Professional Training of the Future Sound Engineer Luan Tianquan This article is devoted to the analysis of the importance of music education as a significant component in the professional training of modern sound engineers. First, the author substantiates the relevance of the topic by pointing out the increased requirements for professional skills and the invariance of the fields of activity of modern sound engineers, as well as the observed in real practice problem of their lack of professionalism, due to the lack or incompleteness of musical education. The author aims to specify the meaning of musical education for future sound engineers and begins the main part of the article with the search for an adequate defi nition of the concept of "sound engineer". During the analysis of the literature, the initial proximity of the profession to music-making practices is revealed. The conclusion is made about musical education for sound engineers as a condition for their deep understanding of the properties of sound matter. At the end of the article, outlines of the future methodological model of music education are proposed, which can be applied in various modern formats of professional training of sound engineers.
