Kuskashev One of the most important sources of film music is academic music for almost the entire period of its existence. Based on the techniques and methods of academic music writing, cinema music makes significant adjustments to them, taking into account the peculiarity of its existence within the media text. The article examines the main similarities and differences between the principles of film music and academic music from the forms of existence and the features of the author’s composition to the principles of construction and thematism.
