Music and Time Annotation << Back Romance Creativity of Suleiman Aleskerov U.N. Niftiyeva The article reveals the peculiarities of the romance style of the composer S. Aleskerov. The romance "From Me" ("Menden"), composed by S. Aleskerov, who has knowledge of the deep roots of Azerbaijani folk music, to the words of Gasim bey Zakir, by its nature, glorifi es love, longing. The composer's achievements include the integration of the B-dur along with its parallel minor g-mol, the transition from the "Rast" mode (with the help of the "shikestei-farce" part) to the "Bayaty-Shiraz" mode. The romance "From Me" is written in the form of an extended period. The interrogative sentence of the period form constitutes the verse of the song, and the response sentence constitutes the chorus. Expanding within itself, each of the interrogative and response sentences moves away from the square shape. This is typical for Azerbaijani folk music. The romance "My beautiful friend" ("Sərvi хuramanım mənim"), written on the words of the genius poet N. Ganjavi. Each of the verses of the romance is written in a reprisal simple two-part form – "AB". In the romance, the harmonic minor and melodic minor, as well as the "Shur" mode, which forms the basis of Azerbaijani folk music, and its parts "Shikestei-farce" are reunited with each other and ensure the formation of a single melodic line. The composer’s romances attract attention with their national characteristics in terms of musical form, melody, harmony and rhythm. In all his romances, he managed to reunite the classical major-minor modes with the Azerbaijani folk musical modes and create an individual musical style.
