Music and Time Annotation << Back Rhythms of Azerbaijan R.B. Bakhmanli The article deals with the national rhythms used in Azerbaijani folk music, accompanied by different rhythms of dances having different melodic content, as well as the rhythm dimension. In addition to information about each of the Azerbaijani rhythms called «Yalli», «Ardicil», «Atlama», «Tars» and «Kazakhi», their structure and individual rhythmic formulas are analyzed in depth. The reasons for the change of metro-rhythmic formulas, their different forms of manifestation, which created rhythmic diversity, were analyzed and presented with note writing samples of some dance moods. The facts mentioned in the article, rhythmic analysis of dance moods, as well as enumeration of rhythms of many Eastern peoples, their connection and comparison with Azerbaijani rhythms confirm how important «rhythm» is in music science.
