Music and Time Annotation << Back Style Modes of Piano Sonata in the Creativity of Contemporary Native Composers I.A. Koshcheeva The article considers the piano sonatas of native composers of XX century from the point of view of style peculiarities of various levels (historical, national, author’s) which influence the choice of conceptions and images, peculiarities of musical language. In the twentieth century, the sonata genre invariably attracts the attention of composers, and the evolution of the piano sonata has not ended. There are qualitative changes in both the substantive and constructive aspects of the sonata. Numerous works of researchers have been devoted to understanding the ongoing processes in the transformation of the piano sonata. At the same time, due to the multiplicity of modes of embodiment of the piano sonata in the works of Russian composers of the twentieth century, some issues remain open for discussion. Thus, the concept of "genre content" needs to be clarified in relation to modern sonatas, in addition, in the twentieth century the sonata is transformed due to multi-genre interactions, the principles of functioning of the sonata in various stylistic modifications are changing.
