Music and Time Annotation << Back Wind Instruments in the Space of Music Criticism and National Musicology V.V. Berezin The article is an analytical overview of the formation and development of the Moscow pedagogical school and the performing of wind instruments. The author examines the evolution of the performing culture in conjunction with the objective and subjective circumstances of its development. The author pays special attention to the refl ection of performing arts on wind instruments in music criticism and musicology. The culture of playing wind instruments in Russia is formed only in the second half of the nineteenth century. Information about this period, as earlier, very little. Moscow school of wind instruments was created under the influence of European traditions. It went through several periods of development. In this way emerged as important achievements and significant drawbacks. The community of performers and educators was developed in a closed environment. This has hindered its improvement, expansion of repertoire, the reform of pedagogical principles. Reform of the Moscow school of wind instruments takes place at the turn of the 1960-ies – 1970-ies. The players on the instruments of the French system, guided by new aesthetic principles. At the end of the twentieth century culture of the Russian wind instruments is in line with European trends. This process is accompanied by considerable obstacles, which are analyzed in the proposed publication.
