Music and Time Annotation << Back Analysis of Performing Techniques and Techniques When Playing the Classical Saxophone: the Use of Breathing and Fingering Cao Yu The specifics of the saxophone playing technique include the synthesis of the process of sound extraction and articulation, which is achieved with a filigree and honed work of the language in combination with the correct breathing, well-coordinated fingers, joints of the hands and lips. In the performance process, sound production appears as a multi-modal functional unified system, its activity manifests itself in the synergy of physical and psychophysiological actions of the performer, which are aimed at developing a set of basic skills, which the authors of the study analyzed in this article. We argued that to achieve an optimal performance result, it is necessary to master a rational breathing technique, and during training, the teacher must explain to the performer all the fingering capabilities of the instrument, because the saxophone belongs to those instruments on which almost every sound, with the help of valves and fingers, can be adjusted both upward and downward.
