The individuality of the style of the modern national composer in the context of the problem of alter-globalization (on the example of the Second Concerto for violin and orchestra of M. Kasumov) |

In the proposed article, the Second Concerto for violin and orchestra by M. Kasumov is considered as the result of the composer's reflection on one of the most important problems of modern art related to the globalization process. The heterogeneous style system of the national composer’s style, based on the dialogical relationship between the two cultural paradigms (universal European and local ethnic), in the context of globalization, can respond to the general problem of postmodernism in two ways. Their opposition can either lead to confrontation or be resolved by the method of mediation, i.e. search and finding the source of consistency of their coexistence. It is this process of awareness of the harmony of the two cultures that is the main concept of Kasumov’s concert. Using the methodology of sociology of depths and the principle of “search of identity”, which is relevant for modern anthropology, allowed, in addition to two markers of identity, corresponding to both cultural paradigms, to find another in the musical content of the concert - confessional. It became a criterion for intra-Islamic identity, reflecting the installation of anti-globalism and the strengthening of the role of Islam in modern Dagestan, but also bearing the potential danger of unifying the originality of the spiritual foundations of ethnic existence. The dramatic process of the concert unfolds as a sequential process of confirmation of one's involvement in the Muslim Ummah and in European culture. But at the same time, there is an awareness of their centrifugality (supra-ethnicity of the first and non-ethnicity of the second) through access to the centripetal force of the ethnic factor. The achieved understanding of the priority of the ethnocultural marker turns the concert finale into the center of gravity of the musical and spiritual cosmos, in which the objective realities of the modern world acquire the ability of consistent, harmonious coexistence.
