Music and Time Annotation << Back Astrakhan Union of composers – from the Commonwealth to the school E.A. Soboleva The article is devoted to the history of the creation of the regional public musical organization «Astrakhan Union of composers», its influence on the development of musical art in the Astrakhan region. The Union of composers was a full-fledged successor to the Russian musical society, an organization that also played a significant role in the development of regional musical art. Thanks to the conservatories that were opened, the composer schools created in St. Petersburg and Moscow have become a forge for not only performers, but also composers. Gradually, two schools of composition were formed – Moscow and St. Petersburg (Leningrad since 1924), the main trends of which began to be fixed in regional conservatories. For example, the history of the Astrakhan Union of composers linkages «center-region» in the context of continuity of pedagogical and stylistic ideas, revealed the identity of the Astrakhan composers of the Moscow «branch». The analysis of historical and musical material allows us to draw a conclusion about the presence of elements of the composer's school in Astrakhan, which determines the effectiveness of the existing regional music system.
