Aksarina The article reveals the problem of creating arrangements of contemporary music of the XXI st century. The concept of arrangement, its classification and types is considered. The concepts of arrangement types are presented. The characteristic features of modern music, as well as the specifics of various musical directions, are analyzed. The article presents the features of modern arrangements and current trends in writing arrangements for pop music. The main features of modern arrangements of pop music are analyzed, which include simplicity and freedom in the musical interpretation of musical works, the simplicity of a poetic text, the simplicity of a musical language. The stylistic features of the arrangements of modern musical directions of pop music are considered on the example of modern directions – reggae and mashup. The necessity of using computer programs to create arrangements of popular pop music in the XXI st century has been identified and justified.
