Music and Time Annotation << Back Competence-based approach in the modern music University of Russia P.U. Deliy The article is devoted to the competence-oriented model of education in relation to Universities engaged in the training of professional musicians, issues of competency models in professional performing disciplines. The transition from a qualification model of education focused on the ZUN system to a competency-based approach is causing great difficulties in higher education Institutions that train professional musicians. The documents regulating the organization of the educational process in the new conditions have not yet been developed with sufficient quality and contain a number of discrepancies, which provokes a lot of misunderstandings and discrepancies both among teachers and students. In these circumstances the Universities are unable to adjust to a new track. But they can’t work the old way either. The issue of conducting complex research in the field of adaptation of Russian music education to the conditions of a competence-oriented model is acute.
