Uyalbay Nusupov and State chamber orchestra of Kazakh radio and television (to the 55th anniversary of its founding) |

The article is dedicated to one of the founders of the wind school of Kazakhstan, Honored Artist of the Kazakh SSR, professor, participant of the Great Patriotic War Uyalbai Nusupov (1921–2005). Professor U. Nusupov became famous as a versatile talented musician – performer, conductor, founder of the chamber ensemble department. For thirteen years (1968–1981), he headed the department of wind and percussion instruments at the Alma-Ata Conservatory. After the victory of World War II, U.N. Nusupov continues his studies at the school named after Ippolit-Ivanov, and then at the Moscow Conservatory named after P.I. Tchaikovsky (1946–1951) in the class of professor, bassoon player I.O. Kostlana. 1964 is considered the birth of a new collective – the State Chamber Orchestra of the Kazakh Radio and Television. U. Nusupov (1964–1973) was appointed its chief conductor and artistic director. Over half a century, the team has made audio-video recordings of works from different eras and styles, and in particular, the works of Kazakhstan composers.
