The «sounds of mugam» – cycle of pieces for young pianists by azerbaijani composer S. Ibragimova |
A.S. Yusifova
Methodical analysis of the piano cycle by Azerbaijani composer Sevda Ibragimova for pianists-beginners is discussed in the article. The author notes that, using the specific modal features of Azerbaijan folk music, each piece in this cycle embodies certain mugham characteristic, since each of them has its own special colouring and imaginative characteristic. The cycle consists of seven piano pieces and is based on synthesis of modern musical expressiveness means and artistic-imaginative content of the seven main Azerbaijani mughams: Seygah, Shushter, Humayun, Chargah, Bayati Shiraz, Rast, Shur. The piano pieces were created by the composer in the indissoluble unity of instructive (totally pianistic) and artistic-aesthetic contents. Methodical analysis of the cycle and its approbation in piano teaching shows that several didactic problems setted out by the composer are aimed to the effective musical development of young pianists.
