Berezin Since the establishment of the Paris Conservatoire, the French school of wind instruments has played the most significant role in the development of European performing culture. In a number of French musicians of the nineteenth century Francois Dauverne occupies an important place, the outstanding trumpeter, pedagogue, and public figure. Unfortunately, in Russian musicology his name is almost unknown. The article presents a fragment of the artist’s creative biography and tells about his influence on the formation of performing art.
