Teryaev The relevance of the study and its scientific novelty is characterized by the fact that it attempts to analyze the main problems associated with the use of digital keyboards in the field of academic music. Despite the fact that modern digital keyboards already have quite serious artistic possibilities for creating music, they are used very little in the field of academic music, finding application mainly in entertainment and popular music, in cinema, in theatrical music, in jazz music. This is associated with a number of problems, the solution of which would greatly contribute to a wider and more effective use of digital keyboards in the field of academic music. Attempts to solve them at the moment can hardly be considered quite successful. This is largely due to the fact that the use of digital keyboards does not take into account many of the principles and directions of theoretical musicology and music practice. These include musical psychology, academic instrumentation, instrumentation for an orchestra or ensemble, conducting art, and piano performance. An academic musician due to the fact that he is poorly informed in the field of digital keyboards, sometimes he cannot even choose the right instrument for a particular purpose, cannot understand the abstract and instructions for it, and does not know how to properly and fully use its capabilities. In fact, there is no musical-methodical literature, which implies the performance of digital keyboards. On the other hand, firms specializing in the creation and manufacture of digital keyboards are losing a huge market of academic musicians who could use this toolkit. The object of the study was the digital keyboards, their device, methodical educational literature on their use in musical performance and education. The purpose of the study is to identify and analyze the main problems associated with the use of digital keyboards in the field of academic music.
