Budagyan The musical art of the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries actively uses the violin, which is included in the arsenal of academic art from folk music and has become one of the most striking instruments of the classical orchestra, the spokesman of the most subtle nuances of the musical text and artistic design in general. The preservation of classical traditions and bold experimentation - these leading trends in the development of modern culture get their specific solution in the violin art of this period. Creating a scientific base for understanding the development processes of modern violin art seems to be relevant, as it allows to identify the causes and consequences of the transformation of musical consciousness. The object of the research is modern performing art. The subject of the research is the trends of stylistic synthesis of mass culture and modern performing arts. The purpose of the article is to examine the processes occurring in modern violin art, aimed both at preserving its traditional foundations and at finding new coordinates for creativity. To achieve the goal it is necessary to solve the following tasks: – to analyze contemporary performing arts; – to identify the main socio-cultural factors influencing the development of modern performing art, the formation of listeners’ musical tastes, the ability of a person to navigate the vast space of art of the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries. Material research: audio recordings of speeches by modern performers, texts of journalistic publications containing music muse interviews. The theoretical and practical significance of the research consists in creating an analytical basis for further research on the development of variety and academic performing arts, the possibility of using materials from courses in the history of modern music, history and the theory of performing art.
