Music and Time Annotation << Back Systematization of oral folklore products circassian (adyghe) (by written, folklore and ethnographic sources of the XIX–beginning of the XXI centuries) A.V. Gucheva, M.A. Hokonov The article is devoted to topical issues of the genre classification of the Circassian (Adyghe) musical folklore as a whole, as well as the differentiation of the genres of the Circassian (Adyghe) song tradition. The study is also relevant due to the fact that nowadays whole layers of traditional musical culture are disappearing and the issue of preservation and reconstruction, the study and understanding of the musical tradition is particularly acute now, and this is due to the fact that the last experts and bearers of traditional culture are passing away. Relying on the achievements of domestic researchers in the field of ethno-music studies, the authors analyze the main works of researchers in this direction, and also offer their position based on modern classification methods. We have reviewed and identified most genres and subgenres of the Circassian (Adyghe) song tradition, starting with authentic samples. A detailed analysis of the issue of «classification of a song» made it possible to reveal the obvious lack of scientific attention to it and how it is to the cultural universal. There are several stages of the genre-thematic classification of the song, as well as the complexes of elements responsible for the system-forming levels of the organization of the genre classification of the song. The specificity and problematics of the topic led to the peculiarity of its stylistics, namely, a significant amount of author's song titles was introduced, which led to the additional use of their established names in modern science and, accordingly, the use of translation to them.
