Music and Time Annotation << Back Music and dance in the ballet in the ballet by Leonid Desyatnikov and Alexei Ratmansky "Russian seasons" A.Y. Popova The article makes an attempt to analyze the relation between music and choreography in the ballet "Russian seasons", which Alexei Ratmansky put on to music by Leonid Desyatnikov's Suite. The author examines the theatrical and dance properties of the cycle, which contributed to its stage embodiment, and reveals the continuity of the "Russian seasons" with the ballet performances of Sergei Diaghilev's entreprise. In the second part of the article analyzed the most relevant from the point of view of the unity of music and movement numbers of the ballet – "Khristovskaya", "Tolotnaya", "Dukhovskaya" and "Postovaya".
