Music and Time Annotation << Back Synthesis of academic and non-academic traditions performing in contemporary violin art M.L. Zaytceva, R.R. Budagyan The article is devoted to the development of violin art at the turn of XX–XXI centuries. Some important for non-academic performance techniques of adaptation of academic music to modern conditions of its perception are designated. The most typical stylistic tendencies in modern violin art are revealed, the dynamics of its development in pop culture is traced. The object of the study is the performing style of modern violinists, formed under the strong influence of academic performance and absorbed the experience of the development of pop art. The subject of the research is the trends of stylistic synthesis in the works of modern violinists. The aim of the article is to consider the processes taking place in modern violin art, aimed at preserving its traditional foundations, and to search for new coordinates of creativity. To achieve this goal it is necessary to solve the following tasks: – consider the work of popular violin performers from the standpoint of consistency, as a kind of artistic integrity, in which a certain role is played by the performing style, repertoire, stage image, the choice of genre of performance (concert, concert show, clip, etc.); – to identify the main socio-cultural factors affecting the development of modern violin art, the formation of musical tastes of listeners, the ability of a person to navigate in the vast space of art at the turn of XX–XXI centuries. Material of the study: audio recordings of V. May, E. Marton, Miri Ben-Ari, D. Garrett, texts of journalistic publications, containing interviews with violinists. The theoretical and practical significance of the study consists in the creation of an analytical base for further research on the ways of development of pop and academic performing arts, the possibility of using the materials of the courses on the history of modern music, history and theory of performing arts.
