Music and Time Annotation << Back Music and Lyrics in the of Leonid Desyatnikov’s Vocal Cycle «Love and life of a poet» A.Y. Popova This article makes an attempt to analyze the relation between music and lyrics in the vocal cycle «Love and life of a poet» by Leonid Desyatnikov. The author describes peculiarities of musicalizing works by OBERIU poets within the model of romantic song cycle, studies the musical and verbal dramaturgy, investigates Desyatnikov’s methods of work with lyrics. The second part of the article contains the analysis of two pieces of the cycle, the miniatures Zhuk and Passakhalia, which are the most representative about the integrity of music and verbal text.
