Music and Time Annotation << Back Unforgettable Maestroof Russian Orchestra.To the 90th Anniversaryof the ConductorV.P. Dubrovsky T.E. Batagova The article is devoted to life and creative way, analysis of the performing art of the outstanding Russian conductor of the second half of the XX century Victor Pavlovich Dubrovsky (1927–1994). The main facts of the biography of the musician are noted: the end of the Moscow State Conservatory named after P. Tchaikovsky in the class of L.M. Ginzburg with honors, working with the best Symphony orchestras (State Academic Symphony Orchestra, Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra, Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra), performances with outstanding Russian musicians, work as chief conductor of the State Symphony Orchestra of Belarus (1956– 1962, 1991–1994), the creation and artistic direction of the Smolensk Russian Folk Orchestra (1988–1994). Particular attention is paid to the 15-year period (from 1962 to 1977) of the work of V. Dubrovsky as artistic director and chief conductor of the Ossipov Balalaika Orchestra, the creation of a modern direction in Russian orchestral performance by a conductor. Also the pedagogical activity of the musician, who brought up dozens of orchestral soloists, artists and conductors, is considered in the article.
