Music and Time Annotation << Back Folklorism in the Music of Valery Kalistratov Yu.V. Tikhonova Valery Kalistratov’s creativity – one of the leading composers of the modern folklore direction became the bright page in the history of domestic music of the second half of XX – to the first third of the XXI centuries. In his music soil communication with primordial national traditions is distinctly shown. The creative principles of the composer in connection with realization of national song sources are covered in article. The citing method making a basis of the equipment of the composer in work with folklore comes to light. On the example of choral compositions – from a miniature to cantata and oratorio genres – the principles of inclusion of folklore quotes in the author’s text which are shown in their semantic and form-building functions and also the ways of processing of folklore material which are carried out by the Latest music – a paradowski, a polyandrously, polyphony of layers, the polyrhythmic equipment, a chance music, different sonorous effects, receptions of choral theater are analyzed. The main tendencies of a modern folklorism which are brightly shown in works of the composer are considered: realization of genres of regional folklore, active searches in the field of a timberwest, rhythmic and sound high-rise decisions, art-style synthesis of folklore and religious roots, non-standard solutions of scenic implementation of works.
