P.A. Belik

In the article discusses the author considers the development of symphonies for the orchestra of Russian folk instruments, elucidates the connections with the tendencies in the home symphony in order to determine the conception of developing the genre with the philosophical outlook content in music for the instrumental staff given. The chronological landmarks of the development of symphonies in the given article are determined as such: the years 1930–1940-ies, 1950-ies-upto the beginning of the XXIst century. The given division into such periods is stipulated not only by the course of the country history but also by the joint consideration of the events, forming the diversity of the tendencies in the history of the home symphony. Formed in the creative work of N.P. Fomin, the functional dependence of orchestral thinking, causing the timbre-register subordination of the instruments primordially corresponded to the modes of organizing the musical texture in the symphony genre. The qualitatively new solutions, that arose out of integrating the academic trend with the every-day music are the following: the specific character of the contents of symphonies, the qualitative originality of their form and also the principle of simplicity both for the performers and hearers. The creative work of the composers, the processes of academization of playing the Russian folk instruments, the development of the national instrumentalism, the preparatory work with composers, orchestra performers, conductors, festivals of modern music for the Russian folk instruments testify to the perspectiveness of the symphony genre in music for the instrumentalist collectives - all this strikingly expresses the character, soul and speech peculiarities of the Russian people.
Keywords: symphony, everyday genre music, academization, the art of orchestral writing, thematism, traditions, innovation.
