Music and Time Annotation << Back Ethos «Terrestrial» and «Unearthly» Heroines in Operatic Creation of N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov M.V. Konoshevskaya Appeal to the ethos of female operatic images of N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov with positions of features interpretations in them real and fantastic carried out in order to detect in the glorious past of musical art of Russia reliable points of support for cultural, moral improvement of our society. Analysis ethos operatic heroines of N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov at a given angle of view has allowed to reveal multitude different appearances of «terrestrial» and «unearthly» personages of the composer, the data in the formation, development, discover their overlapping and complementing each other’s character. Disclosure of these images, in view of their importance in the works of Rimsky-Korsakov as an outstanding representative of Russian culture of the late XIX – early XX centuries, gives a relatively complete, holistic overview of some of the basic ethical components of the ethnic picture of the world, represented by the composer. Accomplished author of the work contributes to the solution of problems of culture, education, science and art concerning understanding the cultural identity of the Russian people, the foundations of Russian statehood, establishing a cultural dialogue with other peoples and countries, develop a strategy of spiritual and moral development of the population of Russia in difficult conditions of today.
