Music and Time Annotation << Back About Pierre Boulez’s Composer Musicology Y.N. Panteleeva The article is devoted to the verbal statements of Pierre Boulez (1925–2016) – one of the greatest contemporary composers, recently deceased. His scientific and literary works are very different and includes books, articles, lectures and interviews. This article about composer’s word provides an overview of the major works by Boulez published in English and French. We are primarily talking about the work published in the last decade in France under the title «Points de repères». This is a series of books in a systematic form representing works written by the composer in different periods of his life. They are dedicated to the wide range of issues. The article represents for the first time in Russian some fragments of texts concerning the art of orchestral conducting. Based on his own performance experience Boulez formulates very important ideas, concerning the interpretation of orchestral music.
