Music and Time Annotation << Back «Three Hundred Years» – Jubilee A.D. Kastal’sky’s Cantata to the 300th Anniversary of the Romanov Dynasty P.E. Karpov Cantata works of many Russian composers at the turn of XIX–XX centuries reflects the most significant events in Russian history. Three choral cantata by A.D. Kastal’sky the prewar period, are evidence of these tendencies. The study cantata «Three hundred years», was written for the anniversary of the reign of the Romanov dynasty. Stylistic features of the cantata, applied character are defined primarily by its appointment of an anniversary. The close interrelation of the literary foundations of the Shambinago’s text with the Kastal’sky music becomes the main works in the analysis. Studied musical components are structure, choral texture and tone, coupled with the verbal side, sent for approval to the genre of the cantata-anthem. Keywords: A.D.
