Music and Time Annotation << Back Wooden Tsuur in Western Mongolia: Specifi city of Sound T. Sodgerel Flute-tsuur is one of the sounds symbol of ethnic group «uriankhai», who living in Western Mongolia. He has a unique timbre that distinguishes it from other related instruments. In article established reasons determining the specific sound of Mongolian longitudinal flutes: material and making techniques; design of instrument; playing techniques. One of the important features of the tsuure playing is the use of special types of throat singing («harhiraa» and «shahaa»). During the study identified the stages of learning to play the tsuur: at first extract the whistle sounds without instrument, then with instrument; study of the technique of throat singing, the combination of vocal and instrumental techniques, assimilate the system tunes.
