Music and Time Annotation << Back Piano or Synthesizer? Experience Comparison of Two Instruments in the Era of Postmodernism N.A. Govar Presented article reflects the range of issues aimed at understanding contemporary socio-cultural situation in academic music education. The topic of this article is directly related to both the phenomenon itself Piano, and some culturological problems of the second half XX – beginning of the XXI century, viewed through the prism of postmodernism. The end of XX – beginning of XXI centuries confronts a series of new problems related to the gradual displacement of acoustic piano by electronic instruments of various kinds in the mass musical practice. The subject of the reflections of the author becomes a question of how such a replacement is legitimate and how it may affect on the quality in primary musical education.
