Music and Time Annotation << Back Vocal and Choral Art of Ancient Egypt. Labor Songs V. Melyushchuk In article for the first time in domestic musicology labor songs of ancient Egyptians are considered. These are songs of shepherds, ploughmen and sowers, reapers, porters of grain, collectors of grapes. The purpose, carried out by the author of article of a transliteration and translation of original texts, – demonstration of features not so much for the poetic texts, as for the texts of the songs. On the basis of the analysis of texts of these songs the metric structures developing under influence of concrete labor processes accompanied by songs, specificity of their semantic maintenance, a variety of performing groups. Demonstrates the prevalence in the Egyptian labor environment songs for the soloist, the ensemble, the choir, the several choirs, the several choirs with the soloist. The conclusion is made about the existence of a genre variety of musical folklore of Ancient Egypt. Because of information obtained from the accompanying songs illustrative material and their characteristics is given in direct connection with the realities of the everyday work of the ancient Egyptians.
