Music and Time Annotation << Back Experience of Analysis of Free Improvised Music as Exemplified in the Album «Fine» by Group AMM A. Sysoev This article is devoted to the questions of forming in free improvised music (free improvisation) as exemplified in detailed analysis of the album «Fine» by group AMM. The article is based on the principle that improvisation is a specific type of composition that takes place in real time. Thus, the forms of improvisation are also considered as a sequence of stable and unstable interconnected episodes. Any sufficiently intense repeating resembling and prolonged elements and their combinations can be elements of stability. Consistently analyzing these episodes, the author suggests that they form traditional structures. This confirms theses by V. Bobrovskiy about five fundamental logic functions of the composition. In collective free improvisation these functions take a specific, individual character.
