Music and Time Annotation << Back On the Eve of a New Season: a Retrospective Look at the Creative Space of Tambov Academic Symphony Orchestra named after S.V. Rakhmaninov I.V. Tatarintseva The article presents an annotation of the creative activity of the Tambov Academic Symphony Orchestra named after S.V. Rakhmaninov over the past two seasons. The purpose of the work is to trace the dynamics of his performing practice, on the basis of numerous concerts, both in the Tambov region and beyond. The purpose of the article is to comment on the interpretation by the artistic director and chief conductor - Morgunov A.P. both domestic and foreign works, including modern ones, for example, S. Gubaidulina, M. Bronner, A. Tchaikovsky. The author of the article notes both the number of concerts since the creation of the orchestra (more than 140) and wide genre range of performed works. Particular attention is paid to the consideration of the concert activities of the orchestra in the second season, which took place at the "Year of the great S.V. Rakhmaninov". A signifi cant event for the well-coordinated musical group and city of Tambov was the performance of the 2nd and 3rd symphonies of S.V. Rakhmaninov, in the performing interpretation of which the unity of the dramatic plot of the work was felt. In the process of analyzing the creative growth of the collective of the academic Tambov Symphony Orchestra, the author notes performing at the International Music Festival in Ulyanovsk «World. Era.Names» of the 4th Piano Concert of S.V. Rakhmaninov g-moll with the participation of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Boris Berezovsky. A certain dominant in the creative space of the orchestra for two seasons is seen in his performance of the orchestral suite of S.V. Rakhmaninov «Symphonic Dances».
