Music and Time Annotation << Back The Vera Dulova – Teacher Phenomenon: in Its Early Days A.A. Baranov The first years of Vera Dulova’s pedagogical work had not previously become the object of independent scientific research. The problems touched upon in this article for the first time in Russian musicology reveals several issues related to the activities of Vera as a teacher of the 1940s – 1950s, namely, educational, and methodological principles, the peculiarities of compiling the educational repertoire of the Moscow Conservatoire harpists, the history of V. Dulova conferring honorary and academic titles, as well as her obtaining a diploma. The study is based on the use of many archival materials, first studied, and allowing a detailed analysis of the work of Vera Dulova in the middle of the 20th century. In addition, the features of the existence of the harp class of the conservatory, the principles of teaching harp students are revealed, the names of many students in those years under the leadership of Vera Dulova are listed.
