The Development of Musical Ear Among First Graders in the Process of Learning to Sight Read |

The article examines the possibilities of development of basic musical abilities among students of music schools, particularly of musical ear. A component of musical ear is the ability to positively perceive musical sounds and experience their conjugation as expressive and meaningful. In order to achieve an adequate response in children to musical compositions, it is necessary to explain to them the content of the studied works. We associate the disclosure of the content of the music with the revelation of the musical image embedded in the work by the composer. The article also describes the methods of revealing the musical image that take place in specialty classes in person. The search and selection of the content of musical works occurs at the verbal level in the process of preparing a student for reading musical texts. We refer sight-reading to a type of musical activity, the purpose of which is precisely the perception by the student and the embodiment of the artistic image in the process of performing a piece of music. This approach is important in the sense that it is in the process of activity that the musical abilities of students are manifested and developed.
